About the 8 × 10 sell sheet
A photo-print proportion that favors image-led offers: real estate, remodeling, landscaping before-and-afters.
A 8 × 10 EDDM sell sheet, mailed for you door to door. On thick 16pt card it reads as a brochure rather than a circular, and we handle the route bundling, the USPS forms and the Post Office drop-off.
Best uses for 8 × 10 sell sheets
- Medical, dental and professional practices where the piece should feel substantial
- Home builders and remodelers presenting a portfolio or price sheet
- Financial, legal and B2B services mailing to mixed residential and business routes
- Any campaign where the same layout as a flyer should land with more weight

Why 8 × 10 qualifies for EDDM
Every Door Direct Mail only accepts flats. USPS counts a piece as a flat when it is longer than 10.5 inches, taller than 6.125 inches or thicker than 0.25 inch, and no bigger than 15 × 12 inches. At 8 inches on its short side it clears the 6.125-inch height rule; the 10-inch length is under 10.5, so height is the qualifying dimension.

8 × 10 EDDM sell sheet FAQs
Does a 8 × 10 sell sheet qualify for EDDM?
Yes. USPS counts a piece as a flat, the shape EDDM requires, when it is longer than 10.5 inches, taller than 6.125 inches or thicker than 0.25 inch. At 8 inches on its short side it clears the 6.125-inch height rule; the 10-inch length is under 10.5, so height is the qualifying dimension.
What size should my 8 × 10 file be?
Build the file at 8.25 × 10.25 inches: the 8 × 10 trim plus 0.125 inch of bleed on every edge. Keep text and logos inside the 7.75 × 9.75 inch safe area so nothing is lost when the sheet is cut.
What is a sell sheet?
A single heavy sheet, usually letter size, carrying a price list, service menu or product line-up. For EDDM it mails flat, so every household on the route gets the full page.
What makes a sell sheet different from a flyer?
Stock weight. Sell sheets are made for thick 16pt card, the same family as our postcards, while flyers print on 100 lb gloss cover. The 16pt sheet costs more to print but survives the mailbox crisply and reads as a keep-it piece. A sell sheet can also be printed on 100 lb gloss, which makes it the same sheet as a flyer.
Which sizes does the sell sheet come in?
Five EDDM flat sizes: 8 × 10, 8.5 × 11, 9 × 11, 9 × 12 and 8.5 × 14. The same sizes exist as flyers, so you can price both and compare.
When is a sell sheet the wrong choice?
If your message is one offer and a phone number, a postcard does the same job for less. Sell sheets earn their cost when the extra space and stiffness carry a portfolio, a price sheet or a premium brand.
Does heavier stock change the postage?
Not at these sizes. EDDM flats pay one rate up to the USPS 3.3 oz ceiling, and a 16pt sheet at these sizes is well under it.
What is the difference between print-only and full service?
Print only means we print your sell sheets and ship them to you, and you take them to the Post Office yourself. Full service means you pick the routes on our map, and we also bundle by route, handle the USPS paperwork and deliver the mailing to USPS, so you never visit the Post Office.
Why does the Full Service price depend on my routes?
USPS charges postage per piece and every carrier route has a different number of addresses. When you select routes on the map, the piece count is known exactly, and the printing, mailing and postage lines are priced for that count. The quantity on this page is only an estimate to show the range.
What file format should I send?
A press-ready PDF is best, with 0.125 inch bleed on every edge and important content kept 1/8 inch (0.125 inch) inside the trim.
Will I receive a proof before printing?
Yes. Every order includes a press-ready file check, and you approve a proof before anything prints or mails.
When does my mailing go out?
You pick the mail date when you select routes. Production runs first; the mailing is delivered to USPS for that date.
