- USPS rule: Its 12-inch length clears the 10.5-inch rule, even though the 6-inch height does not, so length is the qualifying dimension.

Where the indicia and address block go
In the Full Service back files, the postage indicia and the "Local Postal Customer" address block are already placed on the address side at the size USPS expects. Design around them: keep photos, text and busy backgrounds out of that area so the carrier can read it, and do not move or resize either element. Everything else on both sides is yours; keep text, logos and phone numbers inside the 5.75 × 11.75 in safe area.
