Why 6" × 12" EDDM works for hvac & air conditioning

HVAC is a high-ticket, seasonal business. EDDM lets you reach target neighborhoods right before the summer heat, so when a unit fails your card is already on the counter. Older neighborhoods, where systems are aging, are a natural place to start.

HVAC & Air Conditioning campaign ideas for this mailer

• Pre-summer AC tune-up

An April mailer to neighborhoods of older homes. 'Is your AC ready for summer?' Offer a tune-up and remind homeowners that aging systems tend to fail at the worst time.

• First-freeze furnace check

Mail ahead of the first freeze of the season. 'Furnace acting up? Call us before the cold sets in.' Plan the drop date around your print and mail lead time.

• Annual maintenance plan

A fall campaign for annual service agreements. Recurring customers are the most valuable ones; present the plan as protection against a mid-season breakdown.

Laying out a hvac mailer at 6" × 12"

At 6" × 12" there is room for a headline offer on the front and supporting detail (services, hours, a map or a QR code) on the back. Lead with the season ('Is your AC ready for summer?') and a tune-up offer; a clean photo of a technician or unit reads well at arm's length. Emergency-service hours belong on the front if you offer them.

• Artboard with bleed: 6.25 × 12.25 in; trim: 6 × 12 in
• Keep your phone number, offer and logo inside the 5.75 × 11.75 in safe area
• Its 12-inch length clears the 10.5-inch rule, even though the 6-inch height does not, so length is the qualifying dimension.
