Simple process
How EDDM works
Four steps from campaign idea to every door in your target neighborhood.
- Step 1
Select carrier routes
Use the route map to choose neighborhoods by ZIP code. Each route shows its residential and business address counts. No mailing list or postage permit required.
- Step 2
Upload your design
Submit a print-ready PDF at 300 DPI with 0.125 inch bleed on every side, or start from a free EDDM template. A person checks every file.
- Step 3
We print and bundle
We print full color on 100 lb gloss cover or thick 16pt card and, with Full Service, bundle the pieces by carrier route with a facing slip on every bundle.
- Step 4
USPS delivers to every door
With Full Service we deliver the mailing to USPS for the date you pick. USPS carriers deliver it to every address on your routes.

Got questions
EDDM frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about ordering EDDM from EDDM2GO.
What is EDDM and how does it work?
EDDM stands for Every Door Direct Mail, a USPS program that lets you mail to every address on a selected carrier route without a mailing list, postage permit or bulk mail account. You choose the routes on the map, we print your pieces to EDDM size rules, and USPS carriers deliver to every door on your chosen routes.
Do I need a mailing list for EDDM?
No, that is the biggest advantage of EDDM. Instead of mailing to a list of names and addresses, you select whole carrier routes and every residential address, or every address, on each route receives your mailer. Pieces are addressed to "Postal Customer".
What are the EDDM size requirements?
An EDDM piece must be a flat: longer than 10.5 inches, or taller than 6.125 inches, or thicker than 0.25 inch, and no larger than 15 × 12 inches and 0.75 inch thick. EDDM Retail pieces can weigh up to 3.3 ounces. Every size we sell qualifies, and each size page shows which rule it clears.
What's the difference between EDDM Print Only and Full Service?
With Print Only, we print your pieces and ship them to you. You take them to the Post Office serving your routes, present PS Form 3587 with the facing slips, and pay postage at the counter. With Full Service, we print, bundle by carrier route with facing slips, prepare the USPS paperwork and deliver the mailing to USPS, with postage included. You don't need to visit a Post Office.
How do I choose which carrier routes to target?
Start from the ZIP codes your customers come from. Our route map shows every carrier route with its residential and business address counts, so you can see the total count, and the Full Service price, before you pay. You can also call us and we'll help you pick routes.
What paper stock and finish do you use?
Postcards and sell sheets are printed on 100 lb gloss cover or thick 16pt card, and flyers on 100 lb gloss cover, full color on both sides. Each size page lists the stocks available for that size.
How long does an EDDM campaign take from order to delivery?
You choose the production time when you order, and each option shows its price. With Full Service you also pick the mail date when you select routes; after a person on our team checks the order and you approve the proof, the mailing is delivered to USPS for that date. With Print Only, add the time to take the pieces to the Post Office.
What is the minimum order for EDDM?
A mailing is at least one carrier route, and every route is mailed in full: every residential address, or every address. Most routes hold a few hundred addresses or more, and the map shows the exact count for each one. For Print Only, USPS EDDM Retail asks for at least 200 pieces per ZIP code per day at the Post Office.
Can I target multiple ZIP codes in one campaign?
Yes. You can select carrier routes across several ZIP codes and cities in one campaign. With Print Only, each ZIP code's Post Office is its own drop, and we can bundle in 50s or 100s for you. With Full Service, we handle the bundling, paperwork and USPS entry for every route you select.
How much is EDDM postage?
USPS EDDM Retail postage is $0.26 per piece. With Full Service it is included in your price, as its own line. With Print Only you pay it at the Post Office counter.
