Production timing
EDDM Turnaround Times
Turnaround — production time — is how long it takes to print and prepare your order once your artwork is approved and your order is paid. You choose it for each order, and you see the resulting mail or ship date before you pay.
How production time works
You choose the production time
When you configure your order, the configurator lists the production times offered for that exact size. The standard option is the slowest and lowest-priced; faster options cost more.
The clock starts at approval
Production time begins when your artwork is approved and your order is paid — not when you place it. A person on our team checks every order before it is released to print.
Beat the noon cutoff
Approved and paid before 12:00 PM Central starts the clock that business day. At or after noon, it starts the next one. The same cutoff applies to every production speed.
See the date before you pay
Before checkout you see the date your mailing goes to USPS (Full Service) or ships to you (Print Only), worked out from the production time you picked.

Where to see the options for your piece
The production times offered depend on the size, stock and quantity, so there is no single table that is true for every order. Pick your size and the configurator shows every option offered for it, with its price and the date it gives you.
Business days exclude weekends and holidays.
What can add time
- Bundling and folding are extra production steps. When you choose them, the date shown before you pay already includes them.
- Artwork that needs fixing — the clock starts at approval, so a file that needs changes pushes the start.
- Holidays are not business days and can shift estimates.
