Why 11 × 25.5 qualifies for EDDM
Every Door Direct Mail only accepts flats. USPS counts a piece as a flat when it is longer than 10.5 inches, taller than 6.125 inches or thicker than 0.25 inch, and no bigger than 15 × 12 inches. Printed flat at 11 × 25.5 and folded to 8.5 × 11 for mailing, it qualifies by its 8.5-inch folded height, well over the 6.125-inch rule.

11 × 25.5 EDDM flyer FAQs
Does a 11 × 25.5 flyer qualify for EDDM?
Yes. USPS counts a piece as a flat, the shape EDDM requires, when it is longer than 10.5 inches, taller than 6.125 inches or thicker than 0.25 inch. Printed flat at 11 × 25.5 and folded to 8.5 × 11 for mailing, it qualifies by its 8.5-inch folded height, well over the 6.125-inch rule.
What size should my 11 × 25.5 file be?
Build the file at 11.25 × 25.75 inches: the 11 × 25.5 trim plus 0.125 inch of bleed on every edge. Keep text and logos inside the 10.75 × 25.25 inch safe area so nothing is lost when the sheet is cut.
What is the difference between print-only and full service?
Print only means we print your flyers and ship them to you, and you take them to the Post Office yourself. Full service means you pick the routes on our map, and we also bundle by route, handle the USPS paperwork and deliver the mailing to USPS, so you never visit the Post Office.
What stock are EDDM flyers printed on?
100 lb gloss cover with an aqueous coat, which keeps print cost down on larger sheets while still feeling substantial. If you want a stiffer piece at the same size, look at the sell sheet on thick 16pt card.
Can a flyer carry a full menu or price list?
That is the main reason to choose one. Sizes like 8.5 × 11 and 8.5 × 14 hold a complete menu or service list on one face and still leave the back for a map, hours and an offer.
Which flyer size should I pick?
8.5 × 11 is the letter-size standard for menus and service lists; 9 × 12 gives the most space per piece. Smaller panels like 4.25 × 11 suit single offers. Every size listed here meets USPS EDDM flat rules.
What does postage cost when I drop off?
You pay USPS directly at the current EDDM rate. There is no markup from us, because on a print-only order the postage never passes through us at all.
Can I mail these across several ZIP codes?
Yes, but each ZIP code means a drop at the Post Office serving those routes, and EDDM Retail caps at 5,000 pieces per ZIP per day. Two ZIPs means two drops, so plan the driving time.
What if I decide I want the mailing handled after all?
Order the same size as Full Service instead: the same print, but we bundle, file the paperwork and deliver to USPS. The page shows both prices, so the comparison is concrete.
How is the flyer shipped to me?
Boxed and shipped by carrier to your address, bundled in stacks of 50 or 100 if you chose bundling. You add a facing slip to each bundle, complete PS Form 3587 and take the mailing to the Post Office that serves your routes.
What file format should I send?
A press-ready PDF is best, with 0.125 inch bleed on every edge and important content kept 1/8 inch (0.125 inch) inside the trim.
Will I receive a proof before printing?
Yes. Every order includes a press-ready file check, and you approve a proof before anything prints.
How do I track my order?
Tracking is emailed as soon as the order ships.
What is bleed, and why does it matter?
Bleed is artwork that extends past the trim edge. Without it, small cutting variations can leave thin white slivers on the finished piece.
