Why 11" × 17" EDDM works for auto repair & detailing
Auto repair is a repeat, loyalty-driven business, once you earn the first visit. An oil-change coupon or seasonal check-up offer is a common first-visit mailer for shops. EDDM lets you reach every household in your service area with an intro offer that turns strangers into regulars.
Auto Repair & Detailing campaign ideas for this mailer
Oil change coupon
A simple oil-change offer to every household within a few miles. It is a low-barrier reason for a first visit.
Winter prep
A November mailer for a tire check, battery test, and winterization package. 'Is your car ready for winter?'
Summer AC service
A May mailer before the summer heat: an AC performance check with any service, which leads naturally to recharges and repairs.
Laying out a auto repair mailer at 11" × 17"
Printed flat at 11" × 17" and folded to 8.5 × 11 in, it gives you several panels: a cover that sells the offer and inside panels for detail such as a service list, menu or program schedule. Make the coupon the hero: offer, expiry date, and shop address in large type. A tear-off or clearly boxed coupon area reads well on larger sizes.
- Artboard with bleed: 11.25 × 17.25 in; trim: 11 × 17 in
- Keep your phone number, offer and logo inside the 10.75 × 16.75 in safe area
- Printed flat at 11 × 17 and folded to 8.5 × 11 for mailing, it qualifies by its 8.5-inch folded height, well over the 6.125-inch rule.
