Why 6.25" × 9" EDDM works for auto repair & detailing

Auto repair is a repeat, loyalty-driven business, once you earn the first visit. An oil-change coupon or seasonal check-up offer is a common first-visit mailer for shops. EDDM lets you reach every household in your service area with an intro offer that turns strangers into regulars.

Auto Repair & Detailing campaign ideas for this mailer

• Oil change coupon

A simple oil-change offer to every household within a few miles. It is a low-barrier reason for a first visit.

• Winter prep

A November mailer for a tire check, battery test, and winterization package. 'Is your car ready for winter?'

• Summer AC service

A May mailer before the summer heat: an AC performance check with any service, which leads naturally to recharges and repairs.

Laying out a auto repair mailer at 6.25" × 9"

At 6.25" × 9" space is tight, so keep the front to one offer and one call to action, and move everything else to the back. Make the coupon the hero: offer, expiry date, and shop address in large type. A tear-off or clearly boxed coupon area reads well on larger sizes.

• Artboard with bleed: 6.5 × 9.25 in; trim: 6.25 × 9 in
• Keep your phone number, offer and logo inside the 6 × 8.75 in safe area
• At 6.25 inches on its short side it clears the 6.125-inch height rule by 0.125 inch; the 9-inch length is under 10.5, so height is the qualifying dimension.
